Dave Algeo

Midlife health, weight management and stress/resilience coach

I work with clients to help them regain control over their health and life. I help them transform their health and energy, and (re)discover a zest for life.

How would you describe the difference you make?

Following many years as a police officer and leader, I now work with clients to help them regain control over their health and life. I help them transform their health and energy, and (re)discover a zest for life. I do that by sharing key tools (and memorable vegetable-related metaphors!) that help people develop their own resilience, support others in doing so, and promote positive, mentally healthy cultures.

What’s your background?

As a police officer I supported the public and colleagues during the toughest of times. I experienced my own challenges and learned the hard way how critical it is to develop genuine resilience and a positive mindset. That led me to helping others develop their resilience and to gaining my MSc in Coaching and Mentoring.

Since then I have worked with thousands of people to help them improve their coping strategies and health. In 2017, I appeared on the Davina Hour, sharing my approach to dealing with stress on Davina McCall’s TV show.

What’s the most rewarding part of what you do with Zest?

I’ve known Rachel for years now and love her enthusiasm and ‘zest’ for working to support wellbeing within organisations. I find it extremely rewarding to be able to reach those who are seeking support to improve their health, weight and stress levels and provide valuable content to help them on their journey.
