What do you bring to your work that’s unique?

I get it. I understand that we are all busy people, and that life happens and can interfere with a fitness programme. However, there are always ways around these obstacles and we can still make progress towards our goals. I work with my clients to help them come up with an appropriate plan for them, their lives, their time parameters and the equipment they may (or may not) have.

What’s your background?

I was a school teacher for sixteen years, the last thirteen of which were as a head of department. I moved away from the classroom and into the gym as a way of regaining control of my life while doing something I love: helping people. I am fascinated by how so much of our health is determined by our fitness and physical strength.

I started my personal training business in 2015. Since then I’ve helped two diabetic clients come off Metformin (with the approval of their consultants). I have clients who have stayed with me for years, hitting goal after changing goal. Perhaps the biggest achievement of all is helping hundreds of people become fitter, leaner, stronger and healthier.

Tell us something about your life outside of work

I enjoy walking with my wife and black Labrador. I am a fan of historical fiction. I love all things sporting. I’ll happily watch most sports and have played or coached many of them.

Beyond that, give me summer weather and I am happy!
